This past weekend we were able to travel to a nearby island. In talking with the local publishers it seems that this particular island has not been worked since 1988. So after making a few arrangements we were able to head out. Unfortunately we were not able to contact the Mayor or the Village Chief. (Soupwul) Yet we decided to head out anyways. Upon coming up to the island there was a debate of where to go ashore. Finally someone pointed out a nice beach area to land our boat. Amazingly we pulled right up to the Mayor's house who was happy to grant us permission to preach to the local islanders. And yes we found the Village Chief as well, who was also very happy with our visit. The day went very well and everyone was excited that we finally were able to preach on this island. The overall reception was very nice and the locals all enjoyed receiving their copy of the Watchtower!

IN THE JUNGLE
Over the last few weeks we have making trips into the jungle to find interested ones. Our trips have been wonderful, people have been surprised by our visit. We often think how weird it must be for the locals to see Chon Pwechepwech (very white people) coming out of no where trying to speak Chuukese. Non the less we have seen many beautiful sites and found many willing to read the magazines and were grateful for our visit. Now we have to return to follow up.... we will see what happens!

Back Home
Not only have we returned from a beautiful vacation in Australia and New Zealand, but we are actually back in our new home. They have officially finished the here on the Translation/Missionary home. We love it. The ministry is progressing well, it is hard to keep up with all the interest and our attendance at the meetings is growing. We average about 30 now for each of the meetings.

Long Time In Coming
We are sorry that we have not had a chance to write about what is going on here in Chuuk. Here is a quick update! We had a zone visit in April and had a nice meeting with Brother Sinclaire and his wife. We also have enjoyed our CA with a peak attendance of 114 and 1 newly baptized. The construction on the Translation home is going good and should be finished sometime in August. Pictures will be coming soon.

Thursday's Thrashings
We just figured we'd post a quick update to let everyone know what's going on now that we've been on our own for the past few weeks. The meeting was great today - we had excellent attendance and a relief to Curtis was that he didn't have to do all the parts this time. We just found out Brian and Serina won't be returning for almost another month so lets hope we're able to keep on trucking. - KC and the Chuuk Band
The Beginning
Dear Family and Friends - It is our desire that this page will keep you up to date with what is happening here at the ends of the earth. We are enjoying our assignment and want to share with each of you our times of joy, struggles and experiences. Along the way we will be able to introduce you to our friends and others here in Chuuk. We hope you will enjoy. CK
